August 30 um yeah stuff..alright I am NOT going to start this blog with 'wow' because thats how marisa always starts hers.. and us being alike is kinda scary....
anyhow phew.. it has been a LOOONG time since I wrote a blog.. dang..
um.. I went to fiddle camp.. it was pretty much awesome. learned lots of stuff... made lots of friends... hung out with awesome peoples...
then was camp CRUSH.. that was kinda ok this year... I dunno... last year was just so much better... most everybody who was there last time agreed...
and then family camp was last weekend.. wow that was interesting.. too many guys...
Sometimes I think they were created to make our lives miserable but whatever I'm not going to go into what all happened there..
if you really want to know and if I knew you well enough to even talk to you.. then you'd be on messenger and I prolly would've talked to you.. or maybe not..

haha ok that was kinda weird. moving on...
This year we are going to be going to this public school for 2 days a week. at first I was like man this is gonna suck.. but when we went to the open house I realized I knew some peoples and would be in classes with them so its all good.
I havta be in Advisory... and this class called "Sensational Sentences"(basically a writing class)and Spanish 1... and.... I dunno what else.. maybe some math thing but we're not sure yet..
And I have this dumb thing I havta be at at TEN in the morning. Gosh. who gets up before 10 in the summer?
I havta go meet with my advisor to figure out my WSLP.. written student learning plan.... its pretty pathetic...
fiddle lessons start up soon. and the evening class... and workshops... and RBFK(Rainbow Fiddle Kids-which I just joined cuz I am finally good enough to be in it...and still I'm gonna be one of the suckiest persons in there)and classes... and youth group=/
but I have to go sleep... ten o'clock.... grrr.....
-emily August 04 GUITARS!Ok first of all the whole water skiing thing was hilarious. On our way out to the lake we got pulled over cause Mike didn't have the current plates on the boat. But the officer was nice and let us off with a warning. while we were at the lake I FINALLY got up on skiis. and I went like.. 20 feet. yeah. it was scary. the cool part was that there was not like any other boats on the lake except for a couple of people fishing near the shore. the sweetest part was when we started up the boat after getting danielle out on skiis and this blue heron on the shore got startled and flew alongside the boat for a LOOOONG time. it was totally awesome. So later after we ate at dick's <MY FAVE FAST FOOD PLACE ON THE PLANET> rachael was taking us home and we got pulled over again! it was cause her brights were on or somethin.. Yeah I think the officer wanted to just make sure us 4 teenagers weren't drunk or something.
Then tonight we went to a guitar concert at the MET. it was like the teachers from nates guitar camp that he went to this week and the students played two songs at the end. the best people were the teacher Melad Abide and James Hunter. It was sweet Celtic stuff that I loved. They even had two Irish dancers come out.. that was kinda cool. but the music was super awesome. and now I am going to go eat. cause I am starving to death.....*gasp*.....*choke*.....*food*..... -emily August 02 life... in general...Wow. Summer is so fabulous.. I loves it so much!
yep so the week before last there was a missionary barbeque at the Murrays house. that was pretty cool, I guess.. and I am going to a girls bible study.. which is pretty sweet...
Anywho today I baby-sat the Wilsons... yes it is quite sad... not the babysitting part..
But Andrew is going to quit his flooring job and start teaching fiddle and guitar full time in the fall which means I lose my job with them...
yeah so Danielle just called and wants me to go water skiing... I really want to go... But I super-need to go get a new set of fiddle strings. I snapped my g-string while I was tuning it the other day... and since JayDean is teaching at fiddle camp this week and doesn't have any strings anyways.. and Lunden's Violins(the most awesome fiddle store) moved to Coeur D'Alene I have like no where to buy strings..I guess I could go check out that little string place by Argonne Cycle but they are probably like super expensive...
so yeah I'm kinda screwed right now... tomorrow night I have bible study...
and then on Saturday I have to go help set up camp with JayDean and a bunch of other peoples.
Frank signed Nate up to play at this thing in a park on sunday so naturally he dragged me and seth and caleb in to it too...
So what we're going to do is go play at this thing for like a half hour and then we'll go straight from it out to fiddle camp.. I guess... at least thats what nate says... and hes usually wrong so you never know what could happen.
Ok so even after CRUSH was canceled now it is back on... which is crazy. Fiddle Camp gets over on Thursday Night. When all the classes have a concert.. The concert starts at like 7 and each class goes up and plays a song.. which totally sucks... I hate being on stage... so it might take like an hour or so? I don't know for sure yet.
Jae totally wants Nate and I to work at CRUSH. What they're doing is since the AOH camp gets over like friday morning or somethin, the CRUSH people are going out thursday evening and everybody is gonna sleep in tents on the field. They won't move into cabins 'till Friday morning and Nate and I will drive out early then. Evidently I can still be a JC even though I'm coming out on the second day. so Danny L. and I will have a cabin.. And this is all so totally crazy... and I am super excited for next week so I will say adieu for now! -emily |
