    I LOVE JAYDEAN!!!!!!!!!!

no not like that you sickos. I swear she is the awesomest fiddle teacher that ever lived!
ok so this started out really crappy just now cuz Jae just called and said that UGM had double booked the camp(for crush). so now its not gonna work out and they can't put on the camp!! its terrible and I feel really sorry for all the kids who don't get to go to camp now.
But now I am exploding with joy cuz JayDean knows we can't afford fiddle camp and she made me that offer... so right after I found out about CRUSH I called her and asked her if I could still work for her to earn camp and she said yes! and she wants me to call her tomorrow morning and come over and work all day.
I am quite excited.. people come to this camp from all over the nation. it is huge! with the best teachers in the country! I am so hiped now. so hence JayDean seriously rocks and is my book of
"The Awesomest People In The World".
    yes yes.
very happy.. very cool..no hot... but yes very excited...
so I shall go now before I like drive alla yous crazily insane.
    adios!
    -a super super happy emily

    dum da dum da dum

so I got back from camp on sat. very fun indeed. although some teaching there wasn't biblically sound. there were 15 girls in my cabin! man it was insanely cool. very awesome peoples.
sarah, senaida, sabrina and I all got in the same cabin which was pretty much awesome.
yeah so after getting back from camp I had this KILLER coffee craving, and since danielle and nate were here we walked over to starbucks and got frappucinos. cuz it was super hot outside. then danielle, hank, joe and I all went over to Camp Caro, they have some dumb stupid new name for the park now but I can't remember it... it's some weird dudes name that nobody really cares about..yeah so we played frisbee there for awhile. then we came home and went to Seth's bbq at 5... that was kinda... lame... since nobody really showed up. we needed more people. then they set off some fireworks which was quite traumatic. I jumped a mile when they set off that super loud one and they all laughed at me... sadness.
and on sunday we had church and then nate, dani and I all went to the new youth pastors house to help him paint since hes just moving here from chicago. we were there for 3 hours. danielle was very bloody. she had quite the gruesome day. :/ then we went water skiing and nate did reallly really super good. and then I went out and screwed up a bunch.. then I FINALLY stood up and the engine runs out of gas and dies!!!!!!!!!!
some dude had been using the boat so we didnt know for sure how much gas it had so we had to get back to the dock on the reserve tank. yeah and on monday... I didnt do like anything.. yeah that was really cool. :) This morning I had a fiddle lesson at nine. and Allie is having her 17th b-day party from 4-7 and she invited me and I pretty much have like zero clue what to get her... and danielle doesnt either... so we're stuck in the same boat.
darn it all. JayDean said I could work for the next two weeks for her to earn my camp tuition for fiddle camp( which is $325) the only problem is her camp is the same week as CRUSH and since CRUSH is already short on staff Nate and I cant really ditch em for fiddle camp,as much as I want to. I could learn soo much there..
but oh well. I can't do everything I guess.
k so this is all for now.. I must go brainstorm about Allie.. orange.. presents.. groan..

    ~too true~

I just spent several hours observing teenagers who were
hanging out at our local mall. I came to the conclusion that
many teenagers in America are living in poverty. Most of the
young men I observed didn't even own a belt; there was not
    one among the whole group.

But that wasn't the sad part -- many of them were wearing
their daddy's jeans. Some of these jeans were so big and
baggy that they hung low on their hips, exposing their
underwear. I know some of them must have been ashamed that
their daddies were short, because the jeans hardly went
below their knees. They weren't even their daddies' good
jeans, for most of them had holes ripped in the knees and
had a dirty look to them. It grieved me that in a modern,
affluent society like America, there are people who can't
afford a decent pair of jeans. I have been thinking about
asking my church to start a jeans drive for the "poor kids
    at the mall."

I don't think this group of guys even had much to eat,
because as they were walking, their heads leaned to one side
as if they didn't have enough strength to keep them up. Oh,
they tried. With each step, they tried to lift them up, but
to no avail: they always dropped back to the side. This
group of guys must be from the same family, because they all
walked with their heads bobbing together in the same manner.

But that wasn't the saddest part. It was the girls they were
hanging out with that disturbed me the most. I have never in
all of my life seen such "poor" girls. These girls had the
opposite problem of the guys -- they all had to wear their
little sisters' clothes. Their jeans were about five sizes
too small. I don't know how they could even put them on, let
alone button them up. Their jeans barely went over their
    hipbones.

Most of them also had on their little sisters' tops; it
hardly covered their midsections. Oh, they were trying to
hold their heads up with pride, but it was a sad sight to
see these almost grown women wearing children's clothes.

However, it was their underwear that bothered me the most.
They, like the boys, because of the improper fitting of
their clothes, also had their underwear exposed. I have
never seen anything like it. It looked like their underwear
was only held together by a single piece of string.

I know it also saddens your heart to receive this report on
the condition of our American teenagers. While I go to bed
every night with a closet full of clothes nearby, there are
millions of "mall girls" who barely have enough material to
keep it together. I think their "poorness" is why these two
groups gather at the mall, the boys with their short
daddies' ripped jeans, and the girls wearing their younger
sisters' clothes. The mall is one place where they can find
    acceptance.

So, the next time you are at the mall doing your shopping
and you pass by some of these poor teenagers, would you say
    a prayer for them?

    camping!

yep so as the title states I went camping this past week. a full seven days and six nights with Emily and her family. Since our names kept getting confusing we had the kids Alyx and Christian call me Aunt Emma and her  Emmo(her usual nickname). it was easier.
we went swimming everyday. there was a log like at least  40 feet out in the water which we would swim out to and dive off of. what a blast! and we went canoeing a couple times. plus tubing which was fun. on friday we caught12 frogs and on sat. 12. on sunday I caught a snake. I loved it when it twined itself around my wrist. it felt so cool!!!!!!
Noah,Jon and Josiah were hilarious. gosh I love those guys! they're so entertaining! they would debate over every little thing which was quite fun.we had the lake to ourselves tuesday and wed. and on mon there were only a few other people in the water. Dan tried to do a pole vault thing and ripped his swimming trunks to shreds. haha. melissa wasnt too thrilled though.
I only got a light burn on my legs once from tubing and a light one on my face but mostly I got really tan.
Im leaving for camp Pinecroft monday morning. EARLY!  sarah will be picking me up between 7 and 7:30.
I'm a little nervous. but oh well. its not THAT hard to make friends so I am sure I will find at least one new one before the week is through. when I got home the neighbor girls pounced on me and started talking a million miles a minute. they're so cute! I love them like they're my little sisters!
then they let me throw them in the pool which was very fun for me.
it was 98 degrees in the van on the drive home. phew.
and it is still very hot right now so I will go and do.. something...
